Why Army Fitness Training Is Not Just For Soldiers

: Fitness Training TechniquesWhy is the Army Fitness Routine so popular? Yes, it seems us civvies are opting for getting fit the army way (with all the benefits of not actually having to join the army). The reason is simple. The military have been training people for many years, and getting folk to the peak of their physical fitness. Now more and more ex-military types are giving us the benefit of their Fitness Training Techniques, and offering us the "boot camp" style of training and fitness techniques.

The beauty of getting fit the army way is that you are not reliant on fancy equipment, or the latest fitness gadget. You do not have to join a gym, and most of the exercises can be done anywhere. Military fitness training relies on basic exercises, performed well. In addition, with experience of training raw recruits and Special Forces, they have a vast experience of training for a range of fitness levels. So whatever your age, gender or fitness level there is a military fitness routine available for you and one can work up through the various levels of fitness.

The military fitness methods rely on taking a measure on your current level of fitness, then starting at the point suitable for you. It relies on simple tests such as how many press ups and sit ups you can do in 2 minutes, or how fast you complete a 1000 metres. Then as your strength and core fitness builds, you can go back and re-test yourself to see how much you have improved. This will hopefully encourage you to go further.

You can sign up to classes in your local park, or check on line for routines that you can do in the comfort of your home and garden. Without the need for fancy equipment there is really no excuse. Health and Fitness requires a commitment of time, and this can be as little as 20 minutes of days. Books, DVDs, Gym memberships and equipment do not make you fit. You taking action and using the books, DVDs, gym and equipment make you fit.

Military fitness is all about building core strength and stamina, and with that will come a honed body, but more importantly a healthy lifestyle and out look, which will make you feel better all round, and build confidence.

There really is no excuse, and whether you have no interest in the military life at all, the military fitness routines available are the most proven and effective fitness methods around.

As a 42 year old father of 2, I recently realised I was out of shape. So I decided that I would undertake some basic army fitness training, as a cheap and effective way to get fit. I feel fitter, stronger and more confident for it. Discover how army fitness training can help you.
